About us

We are a non-profit running organization that organizes training for running and racing events.
The Sint.Maarten Road Runners Association started in 1984 by Malcolm Maidwell and Frits Bus. The Club slowly grew into a bigger group of runners, both from the Dutch and French side. Over the years, the Road Runners has always contributed to local charities and organized many races, including the Around the Island Relay Race. This started in 1987 when Malcolm wanted to create a race that would unify both the Dutch and French side. The Club invites: all runners and joggers of all levels, as well as walkers, to join and participate in club trainings and events.

Our board, a new board include: Krispijn Teunissen (President), Berit Bus, Oscar Williams, Marcel de Wit. Long-time board members are: Susy Maidwell, Juan Pablo Piscione and Frits Bus.
Our board and members are here to support each other. The camaraderie that we encourage is as important as the results and successes. So bring your family, well-behaved pets, and baby joggers out to the St.Maarten Road Runners practice runs or events and let's have fun!

Our mission is to provide moments for communities to unite and inspire for a better future.
